"You're Not Alone in This"
Anxiety can feel like you're drowning while everyone around you seems fine. Your mind races with worst-case scenarios. Your chest feels tight. You can't turn off the worry, even when you know logically everything is okay.
Maybe you're:
A teenage girl who feels overwhelmed by school pressure, social expectations, and the constant comparison on social media
A young woman navigating big life transitions - college, career decisions, relationships - and feeling paralyzed by "what if" thoughts
A mom who's exhausted from worrying about your kids, your family, and everything you're responsible for, while feeling guilty for not being "enough"
If this sounds like you, you're in the right place. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people come to therapy - and it's also one of the most treatable.
-
Processing Postpartum Trauma: Maybe, birth was hard, bonding wasn't instant, and feeding was painful. EMDR and trauma-informed therapy can help you process what happened.
Managing Anxiety: We'll identify what you're anxious about, work with the physical symptoms, and build practical tools that work with your life (not some idealized version of it).
Mom Identity: You're a mom AND other things. We can work on integrating that without losing yourself.
Relationship Impact: Kids change relationships. We can talk through that—with your partner, your own family, your friends, and yourself.

You're navigating anxiety (or just the general stress of being a teen)
Relationships feel complicated—with peers, family, or yourself
You're figuring out who you are and what you believe
School feels overwhelming or you're hitting a rough patch
Your parents sent you and you're... skeptical that this will help
You know something isn't right but can't quite name it
Have suicidal thoughts or self-harm and you’re afraid to talk about it
First Session:
We'll chat about what brought you in (sometimes that's your idea, sometimes your parents' idea—both are fine). I'll listen. No judgment. No notes flying around.
Ongoing Therapy:
We work together. You're not sitting there while I analyze you. We talk about what's actually happening, what you've tried, what works. I'll teach you tools that make sense for YOUR life, not some generic playbook.
Confidentiality:
What you say stays between us (with very few exceptions like safety). Your parents don't get a play-by-play. You can trust that.
-
Parent-child conflict, communication breakdowns, disconnection—we can work through this together. In the same room. With someone helping translate.
WHEN THIS HELPS
You and your teen fight constantly and don't know how to break the cycle
Your teen says you 'don't understand' and you're tired of being shut out
Communication feels impossible—they won't talk, or when they do it turns into conflict
You know something shifted in your relationship and you want to fix it
Your teen is dealing with something (anxiety, depression, identity stuff) and family dynamics are making it harder
You want to repair trust after a rough patch
HOW IT WORKS
First, we figure out the structure:
During separate intake sessions, I'll get to know each of you honestly—without the other person in the room. Then we decide what makes sense:Option 1: Teen/Young Adult as Main Client
Weekly sessions with you. Your parent joins periodically (monthly, every 6 weeks, whatever makes sense) for joint sessions to check in and practice communication together.Option 2: Parent as Main Client
Weekly or bi-weekly sessions with you. Your teen joins occasionally for joint sessions—especially if family dynamics are affecting their therapy.Option 3: Parent-Child Relational Work
You're both the clients. We meet regularly together, focusing on rebuilding your relationship. We might do individual sessions when needed, but the relationship itself is the work. Then we meet together (the frequency depends on your model):
I help translate. I slow things down. I point out patterns you can't see when you're in it. We practice new ways of talking to each other—and I'm there to keep it from derailing. We decide how we want to proceed:
This is flexible. We can always adjust the structure based on what's working. The goal is connection, not rigid schedules. -
AcuDetox is auricular acupuncture—a simple, evidence-based practice that helps your body shift out of fight-or-flight mode. It's not magic…It's neuroscience…but it feels like magic!
How It Works:
Your ear is a map of your whole body (it's called the auricular microsystem). When you stimulate certain points, it tells your nervous system to chill out. Your body shifts from sympathetic (fight-or-flight) to parasympathetic (rest-and-digest). You get calmer, clearer, more regulated.
What It Feels Like:
Minimal discomfort—the needles are tiny (smaller than a regular sewing needle). Most people feel a small prick and then... nothing. Some feel immediate relaxation. You sit for 20-30 minutes or the entire therapy session with the needles in.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF...
You have anxiety that won't quit, even with therapy
You're in a trauma response and your nervous system is stuck in high alert
You're a mom running on fumes and need to literally calm down
You want to support your therapy work with something grounded and somatic
You're curious about complementary practices that actually have research behind them
You want an alternative to (or complement to) medication
